Perpetuating American Traditions for Future Generations

Thanksgiving Greetings

Thanksgiving Greetings

As families reunite during this time of Thanksgiving, we feel it  fitting that we remember all those veterans that have served this country.  And just as importantly, we give thanks to all those who are currently serving and wish and pray that they keep safe.

President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, by proclamation, noted that in the midst of a national civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, established the first national Thanksgiving Day by writing: “I do therefore invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States , and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.”

At this time when many families reunite for Thanksgiving, please remember those family members who have served and are serving.
